Holiday Cottage Brittany
Located near the villages of Meneac & La Trinite-Porhoet and close to Josselin & Ploermel
Chez Jacqueline is set in an acre of lawned gardens and is steeped in
history. Built in 1875 and originally comprising a number of different
residences, the cottage now offers 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms and looks
reminiscent of a Cornish farmhouse.
Situated in a small hamlet in rural Brittany with rolling countryside, the cottage is perfect for that away from it all holiday but within easy reach of numerous delightful villages and historic towns. St Malo on the Northern coasts of Brittany and Vannes, on the Morbihan and Atlantic coast of Brittany are just over an hours drive away. |

Downstairs, in longiere style, the large dining room / lounge /
kitchen has a lovely atmosphere with thick beam ceiling and
solid Breton furniture. The small
kitchen area is fully fitted with fridge, dishwasher, cooker, gas &
electric hob and extractor fan. On the ground floor, there is also a double
bedroom and a separate bathroom with bath, shower toilet & bidet.
Up typically steep Breton stairs (not suitable for the very young or infirm) to the former grenier, are two double bedrooms, one with twin double beds. Both have beamed ceilings. There is also a separate shower room with toilet. |
All rooms in the cottage overlook the private lawned garden with it's protected stone walled well. A garden table
& chairs together with gazebo are available. An ideal location for al fresco dining. Also an idyllic place
to sit in the late evening and watch the stars and Milky Way, possibly as you've never seen them before!
Across a small lane at the front of the cottage (serves one other house) and at the rear of the property are two further large lawned gardens with some 200 recently planted trees & bushes, including a small orchard from which you can help yourself to fruit if you are there at the right time of year.
